DETROIT: La celebración de la Independencia de México por parte del Consulado en Detroit, se llevo a cabo este año de manera virtual, a través de su página de facebook: ConsuladoMexicoenDetroit. Con un programa muy completo, artistas locales y líderes comunitarios dieron una probadita de lo que es México en Michigan y norte de Ohio. Y por supuesto, no podía faltar la celebración del Grito de Independencia a cargo del Cónsul Titular Fernando González Saiffe.

Kaptur, Fudge announce $15 million federal award to Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority

CLEVELAND, September 11, 2020: U.S. Representatives Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) and Marcia Fudge (D-OH) released the following statement announcing $15 million in federal funds being awarded to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA). The project replaces 40 heavy rail vehicles with 34 heavy rail vehicles and makes associated infrastructure upgrades to the rail maintenance facility, equipment, and stations to accommodate the new vehicles. The funding will be administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) competitive grant program.

September 2020: The U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) a five-year Migrant and Seasonal Head Start grant to serve children and families throughout Ohio.

Kaptur announces over $23 million federal award for construction of Glass City Riverwalk

TOLEDO, Sept. 10, 2020: Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) released the following statement announcing $23,668,160.00 in federal funds awarded to the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) and Toledo Metroparks as a federal contribution for the construction of the planned Glass City Riverwalk.
