In continuing efforts to foster activities that promote positive mental health and prevent substance abuse, The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board (MHRSB) of Lucas County is pleased to announce an opportunity for funding through its FY 19 Mini Grant.  The Board is seeking to provide up to $5,000 in funding to grass roots organizations and individuals that are providing programming that build assets or skills, resources, supports, or coping strategies for the population that the MHRSB serves. The Director of Advocacy oversees 34 attorneys working on cases and projects addressing the critical legal needs of low-income people. The Director of Advocacy also is responsible for staff training and development, various administrative tasks, and coordination of services with LAWO’s affiliate, Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. Travel required. Membership in Ohio Bar or ability to be admitted upon motion or temporary certification; at least seven (7) years of litigation and trial experience; excellent legal, administrative, and communications skills; and a commitment to legal services required. Experience in legal services, federal litigation, and working with community groups highly preferred. Salary depends on experience. Excellent benefits. SEALED PROPOSALS for bidding on Pearson Metropark Roadway Resurfacing Project will be received; opened; and read aloud at the Metropolitan Park District of the Toledo Area, Fallen Timbers Field Office, 6101 Fallen Timbers Lane, Maumee, Ohio 43537 Friday, October 12, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. local time.
