Mike Peters benefit, Dec. 9
is a well-known local musician who can typically be found
playing pedal steel with Minglewood Labor Camp, or dobro
with Old State Line. Mike recently suffered a
stroke. Although he is doing well under the circumstances, the
road ahead is long and expensive; and like many US-Americans,
Mike lacks health insurance.
So, the Toledo music community plans to do what it does best -
throw a party and raise some money.
Shelter from The Storm - a Benefit for Mike Peters,
will be held Sunday, December 9, 2018 at The
Village Idiot, located at 309 Conant Street in Maumee, Ohio.
Slated musical acts include: Feeding LeRoy (from Duluth,
MN), Old State Line, Minglewood Labor Camp,
and Locoweed. In keeping with the event title, each group
will perform one or more songs by Bob Dylan.
A suggested donation of $5 person will be collected at the door.
The event will also include 50/50 raffles and a silent auction.
Contributors currently include: Dani Herrera, Phil Hazard,
Culture Clash Records, Basil, Nagoya, and Chef Paul
The event is for all ages, and will run from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
