Detroit Institute of Arts’ Founders Junior Council and Neiman Marcus announce “Fash Bash®” 2019 

DETROIT, July 19 2019: Founders Junior Council (FJC), the young professionals’ auxiliary of the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA), will host its signature fundraiser, Fash Bash®, in the ninth year of partnership with Neiman Marcus, on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, at 7 p.m. at the DIA. Proceeds from Fash Bash® 2019 will directly benefit the FJC’s pledge of $1 million to the DIA’s endowment campaign.

Fash Bash®—a perennial record-breaking fundraiser for the museum and one of the region’s most popular seasonal events—is a one-of-a-kind evening showcasing fashion, food and fun against the grand backdrop of the DIA. The celebration kicks off with an outdoor cocktail party, followed by Neiman Marcus’ “Art of Fashion” runway show in the museum’s magnificent Great Hall and Rivera Court, and concludes with drinks and dancing afterglow party.

“Each year we aim to present an unmatched celebration of fashion, art and culture to the city of Detroit and this year is no different,” said Maggie Durant, FJC president. “Detroit continues to be one of the international art and design community’s most inspirational destinations. We are proud to further our city’s reputation with an evening of sophistication and style presented by Neiman Marcus and produced by fashion industry leader fashion Margaret Merritt.”

Fash Bash® 2019 chairpersons are Burt Jordan and Marchelle Costa, Matt and Nicole Lester, Chris and Jennifer Granger, Amanda Fisher and Ben Hubert, and William and Ashley Slatkin.

A limited number of tickets are still on sale for the public at the following levels: 

  • Métier D’Art: For $1,500, this ticket includes the cocktail reception, lounge seating in Rivera Court for the Neiman Marcus Art of Fashion Runway Show, , elevated bar service and dedicated staff in Rivera Court, and the afterglow party, $100 Neiman Marcus gift card (one for every ticket purchased).
  • Haute Couture: For $750, this ticket includes the cocktail reception, priority reserved seating in the front row for the runway show and access to the afterglow party. If two Haute Couture tickets are purchased, recipient will also receive a $100 Neiman Marcus gift card. Limited to 200 tickets.
  • Couture Crowd: For $375, this ticket includes the cocktail reception, priority reserved seating in the second row for the runway show and access to the afterglow party.
  • Prêt-À-Porter: For $250, this ticket includes the cocktail reception, priority reserved seating in the third row for the runway show and access to the afterglow party.
  • Aprés-Fête: For $150, this ticket provides access to the afterglow party. This ticket does not include seating for the runway show
